[Gravel, road, e-bike – medium difficulty]
We go west, up into the hills that circle the Erro and Bormida valleys; here flocks of goats graze unhindered amidst the hills and woods that mark the border with Liguria, producing a milk with special characteristics which, according to tradition, is transformed into one of Italy’s foremost cheeses, Robiola di Roccaverano DOP (Protected Origin of Denomination).
During our excursion it will be possible to get to meet some producers, see the production process and, of course, sample this wonderful cheese. On a full day trip there will be a lunch break either at a trattoria, a local’s house or an open air picnic organised by the Lande guides.
